Sunday Muse Studio
Sunday Muse Studio is a branding photography studio rooted in nature, storytelling and the gentle art of helping small businesses feel truly seen.
Marcella came to me because her existing brand was close, but not quite in harmony with the heart of her work. She loved the idea of a sunset symbol and the warm colour palette she had been using, but the logo lacked the refinement, balance and flexibility needed for a growing creative business.
She wanted a brand identity that felt elevated, aligned and spacious enough to support her photography style and future marketing.
BRAND PERSONALITY
Warm | Grounded | Natural | Open | Creative | Quietly Confident
Sunday Muse Studio had a beautiful foundation, yet the brand needed a stronger visual system that could express both the calm intimacy of Marcella’s photography and the strategic clarity behind her process. She wanted to keep the original sunrise concept but hoped for a design that felt more refined and intentional.
My role was to honour what she already loved and elevate it into a cohesive, flexible brand identity. The refreshed symbol incorporates her existing sunrise motif, but with finer, more balanced line work. I opened the outer edges of the mark by removing several connecting lines, allowing the rays to feel more expansive. This creates a sense of openness, warmth and joy which aligns perfectly with how Marcella welcomes clients into a relaxed and grounding photographic experience.
The logotype was also refined. I kept her chosen typeface but transitioned it into sentence case as requested, and brought the word Studio into a single, balanced line. These subtle shifts made the overall identity feel more sophisticated and quietly confident while remaining approachable.
Together, these design choices created a brand identity that feels warm, open and thoughtfully crafted.
The final identity gives Sunday Muse Studio a clearer story to communicate. It allows Marcella to present her work with more confidence and provides a flexible design system for collateral, social media, digital touchpoints and ongoing marketing. After launch, Marcella shared that she finally feels her brand reflects the quality and feeling of her photography, making it easier to speak to her audience with clarity and pride.
